Artificial intelligence (AI) is a profoundly captivating field, from how the imagination conceives it to be, to the often-silly outcome of real life.
A machine's favorite way to win a race is by making itself very tall and simply falling past the finish line! It’s a bit different from what Terminator showed us.
Nonetheless, machines can accomplish tasks coming straight from the wildest imagination like NVIDIA’s GauGAN that can turn a simple Paint drawing into a beautiful, realistic drawing.
AI is what first got me into programming when I was still deciding on a future career. This led to completing a Computer Science, B.A., at McGill and working in web development for a few years.
Lately, I’ve been exploring my passion for the subject again, learning as much as I can and playing around with neural networks and machine learning projects, as well as Data Science concepts. Fun facts about me, and animals
Dogs: everyone’s best friend
I’ve always loved learning, and I get fascinated by weird animal and historical facts. Learning new recipes and new algorithms is also tremendously gratifying to me.
Did you know that cats tend to be more anxious than most animals? I know my cat is quite jumpy, but this applies to bigger cats too, especially cheetahs in captivity. It can get so intense that they will stay in isolation and never mate.
That is until someone had an idea: derpy, energetic, outgoing dogs. If a cheetah grows up with a dog, they tend to become close friends, and the presence of the dogs calms the big cats. This has led to happier cheetahs and some of the most heart-melting pictures you can find on the internet!

Games are a mix of several elements, and their potential is near limitless through well-applied gamification and design. They can take all that is so great about books, movies and TV shows and push them to another level thanks to its interactivity. From self-improvement and education, to expending your mindset, creating communities, provoke emotions, escape into an incredible world, or simply pass the time — games can truly bring us elsewhere.
Creating small games and dreaming of future game designs is another hobby of mine. Pouring my passion and creativity in it, I’ve found it is a great way to enjoy programming by myself.
